Under the strategic guidance of SINOMACH in scientific research, industry and trade, triumphant news about overseas installation project of SINOMACH-HE undertaken by the Chengdu Heavy Machinery have been heard frequently in recent days, the three Cambodian substation projects have all been successful energized at one time.
At 11:15 in the evening of July 1, warm applause rang out from the main control room of the Ratanakiri Substation right after the completion of the impulse of 230kV main transformer, marking the successfully energizing and official up and run of the newly-built Ratanakiri 230kV substation. The operation of this substation will substantially improve the power transmission throughout the local area. Since the project kick-off, the project team has maintained a high degree of enthusiasm, continued to strengthen on-site safety and civilized construction to ensure a well-controlled process quality and efficient construction progress. Especially during the epidemic period, in order to ensure timely completion of project inspection and acceptance, the project department convened task forces led by the CPC members to give full play to the exemplary leadership role of the Party, laying a solid foundation for the successful power transmission.
The GIS expansion substation of the 230kV Hydropower Station is the opposite station in Rattarakiri and is the first expansion substation project of Chengdu Heavy Machinery as well as the first GIS expansion substation project. In order to brave upcoming challenges as planned, the project team has made adequate preparations to "fight an uphill battle" by means of solving issues identified on the spot in time and active collaboration with Party A and the general contractor. In the airtight GIS room, the construction staff always stick to the front line, overcoming unfavorable factors such as hot weather, to provide unswerving guarantees for the smooth power transmission of the Ratanakiri substation, and also have gained rich experiences in construction of the GIS substation.
At 1:28PM, July 9th, with mouse click by the Owner's operator, the 230kV main transformer of Kampong Substation started to generate a rhythmic "humming" sound, marking the successful completion of main substation impulse operation, plus the 115kV power transmission that had been put into operation before, Kampong Substation was officially put into operation. The commissioning and operation of this substation not only meets the development needs of the electricity load of Kampong Thom, but also provides favorable conditions for the transmission of electricity to the state capital - Phnom Penh.
In the second quarter, Chengdu Heavy Machinery carried out six substation projects in Cambodia in parallel. In the face of the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Cambodia implemented strict closed management measures which intensified entry and exit management and stagnated people flow between regions. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of the personnel on project site, each project strictly implemented the management policy of "only exit but no entry", resulting in a sharp decline of number of local employees. In view of the tight schedule, heavy tasks and scattered construction areas, each project team braved the challenges to ensure project completion as scheduled to the greatest extent by means of coordinating all available resources, strengthening communication and collaboration with all parties involved and carefully organizing construction procedures, having had all hands-on projects completed smoothly. Chengdu Heavy Machinery will always keep safe production in mind, aiming at establishing high-quality projects, striving for excellence in quality, working hard and courageously for promotion of the company's quality-oriented development.
