The Engineering Installation Business Department of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery carried out the emergency drill for COVID-19 prevention and control on the site of Cambodia Installation Project on June 18 for the purpose of implementing requirements of “Production Safety Month”, improving employees’ capabilities to cope with emergencies such as COVID-19, and teaching employees the ways to correctly and quickly cope with emergencies.

Before the drill is carried out, the project department organized the arrangement meeting on emergency drill for epidemic prevention and control, and the team members fully discussed the details of the emergency drill. The drill was carried out by simulating that an employee was tested with abnormal body temperature and fever symptoms when he/she went to work before entering the construction site. Then the employee with a fever was quarantined, disinfected and transferred immediately by epidemic prevention personnel on the premise that epidemic prevention personnel have taken self-protection measures. Epidemic prevention personnel reported to the Epidemic Prevention and Control Working Group of the project department in time, and contacted the special transfer vehicle for epidemic prevention and control to safely transfer the employee. Moreover, epidemic prevention personnel screened the close contacts of the employee with a fever, closed the project site and organized personnel to disinfect and take other measures, aiming to treat the drill as the real practice for epidemic prevention and control.

After the drill was completed, the Epidemic Prevention and Control Working Group of the project department fully discussed and summarized the drill process and effects, and said that, at present, it was in the critical period for COVID-19 prevention and control, and employees could realize the importance and necessity of the emergency drill for epidemic prevention and control from this drill. Besides, some problems and deficiencies in the emergency disposal plan were found in this drill. The Epidemic Prevention and Control Working Group would continuously provide the epidemic prevention and control of project departments with strong support to ensure the orderly and safe production of projects and to protect employees’ health and lives.
