Recently, the 230kV new substation equipment installation project in Kampong Thom, Cambodia, under the charge of the Engineering Installation Division of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery has passed the completion acceptance of the Owner - Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) at one time.

The 230kV new substation in Kampong Thom is one of the important hub substations in Cambodia and a key project contracted by China Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. and valued by Cambodian national leaders. This project has been not only the largest equipment installation contract executed by the Engineering Installation Division of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery in Cambodia, but also the project with the shortest overall construction period so far.

Upon the reception of Party A's instruction in October 2019, the project department has worked overtime to seize the 115kV electrified panel points and achieved the Owner's acceptance at one time. The project team has started from the overall situation, turned pressure into impetus, overcome the difficulties in epidemic prevention and control and production organization, and made hard efforts to ensure the construction schedule and safety.

In order to ensure the timely performance of the contract, the team members continued to working hard in the construction line during the Spring Festival. At the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in China, the project department formulated epidemic prevention measures, paid close attention to the new knowledge and methods of epidemic prevention in China, prepared sufficient epidemic prevention materials and necessary living materials in advance, and communicated with local employees in time to ensure the closed management of the project site and station. In response to adverse effects brought by the outbreak of the COVID-19, the project department strictly implemented various epidemic prevention and control measures, while paying special attention to the epidemic prevention, timely exchanged information with brother unit, kept active communication with Party A, strengthened the troubleshooting of potential safety hazards and promoted the construction progress on site to ensure both the epidemic prevention and construction on the premise of guarantee the safety quality.

Currently, SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery has five substation equipment installation projects under the implementation in Cambodia. The project department will take the project with completion acceptance as a model to further focus on epidemic prevention and control and production organization. In the later stage of the project implementation, efforts will be made to constantly improve the project management and complete the projects with good quality and quantity, contributing to the sustainable development of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery.
