On the afternoon of May 7, Zhang Wenhong, director of the Infectious Disease Department at Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University and a biomedical researcher of Fudan University, was invited by the overseas prevention and control guidance group of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission to give an online lecture on overseas epidemic prevention and control for overseas employees. All overseas employees of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery in Malawi, Laos, Cambodia and Sri Lanka watched and learned online.

This lecture was a broadcast live on the Internet. In the lecture, Dr. Zhang explained to the audience how to view COVID-19 scientifically, how to understand the anti-epidemic measures of various countries, and the suggestions on the overseas epidemic prevention and control measures for central enterprises. This lecture had further popularized the knowledge of COVID-19 prevention and control, enhanced people's awareness of prevention, and encouraged people to maintain a positive attitude and firm confidence.

After the outbreak of COVID-19, SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery has been paying close attention to the epidemic prevention and control abroad, and required all departments to put the safety and health of overseas employees in the first place. Under the leadership of SINOMACH-HE, the Company, in accordance with the relevant prevention and control requirements, deployed the overseas personnel to epidemic prevention and control work, strengthened the implementation of the on-site epidemic prevention and control measures for the Laos representative office, the electrical instrument installation project of Laos-China Dongyan Petrochemical Co., Ltd, photovoltaic installation in Malawi, power transmission and transformation project in Cambodia, prepared sufficient epidemic prevention materials and living materials, strengthened the personnel management, implemented closed management in living areas and construction sites as far as possible, and gave employees the psychological counseling. Meanwhile, SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery also organized the overseas personnel to learn the epidemic prevention and control knowledge. All project departments and representative offices have continuously improved and strictly implemented the Regulations on Overseas Epidemic Prevention and Control, the COVID-19 prevention and control work plan and emergency response plan, conducted a thorough investigation on overseas epidemic risks, and rectified the problems and defects in time.

So far, there has been no suspected or confirmed case on the overseas project sites and in representative offices of SINOMACH-HE Chengdu Heavy Machinery.(He Qian, Yang Ying)
